Camp FAQs
Meet the Director
Hi! My name is Amanda, and I am thrilled to be in community with you.
As someone who has been in teaching and leadership for the past fifteen years, and a mother of a daughter with additional medical and social and emotional needs, I have had the unique opportunity to gather knowledge and resources that provide children, and their families, with tools for learning, growth, and wellness.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Masters of Education in Social and Emotional Learning, Yoga, and Mindfulness.
I taught fifth-grade elementary education for nine years in the Verona Area School District, and for three years was the Site Supervisor for an after-school program and Summer Camp Director for a local non-profit organization.
Flow-Magination was born out of a deep desire to create learning environments where each member is seen for their unique perspectives, ideas, and needs.
Through community we can ensure everyone develops the skills for success.
What is Flow-Magination?
Flow-Magination is on a mission to create communities where all members are able to show up as their authentic selves, express and explore their passions, knowledge, and experiences, and develop deep connection with others.
Our camp environment provides a unique summer camp experience centered on sensory integration, community-building, and interest-led learning.
Our summer camp is built for campers who thrive in supportive, inclusive environments that are ready to celebrate curiosity, collaboration, and emotional growth.

Support the Start
Children thrive on routine. Clear expectations, routines, and boundaries create an environment where everyone can safely and responsibly make choices in the learning space.
We begin each session with low-demand sensory stations to ease transitions, provide regulatory engagement, and incorporate student voice.
Campers then settle into a community meeting to connect and envision their day.
Flow-Magination Time will allow children to choose projects that match their passions—from robot models and mosaic art pieces, to cooking projects and nature exploration.
Every activity includes direct social-emotional coaching in the moment, helping campers navigate play with empathy and confidence.
